Summary: Chloe Sullivan had a normal-ish life before the circle and John Blackwell turned her life upside down and gave new meaning to the unexplained weirdness that goes on in Smallville. Now life's a witch, she's a part of a circle she's not too sure she wants to be bound to, and not only do they have to worry about Witch-Hunters, but unknowingly to them another circle is on the hunt too.

She might have frightened Oliver away with all her touchy-feely-ness (of which she was more than sure he was not accustomed to), and the thought of her frightening him off that way amused her, and yet she didn't dwell on it that long, the blonde instead content to stare at the picture of her and Gabe. She wondered about that day, what must have been going through his mind as he stared down at the baby that he'd married a woman he didn't love so he could take care of. On the back of the picture, he'd written he'd adored Chloe, but still, it was hard to believe one could love someone else's child that much that quickly. Had a part of him never resented never being able to go out and have his own family and kids?

She supposed that was the question that had been bothering her deep down inside ever since she'd found out that Gabriel Sullivan wasn't her real father.

Could she ever grow to love someone who wasn't her family as much as if-?

The blonde paused in the middle of that question and chuckled, thinking about Lucas and Faye and the others, a small smile tilting her lips.

Yeah, she supposed she could.

And if she could, she who had been raised by Gabriel Sullivan, didn't that insinuate-?

But then again, she'd never doubted his love for her, had she?

Chloe's smile drifted from her face once more as she remembered that the question had been whether, in the deepest, darkest part of the night, Gabe would lie down in bed and wonder what life would be like with his own wife and child. If he would look at her in the morning while they were having breakfast, while she was prattling on incessantly about something, and wonder about how life might be different if she actually had his blood flowing through her veins and didn't have magic threatening to rear its ugly head.

The girl gulped, unable to convince herself that he never had; that in one of the moments he'd spaced out, he hadn't been imagining himself with a kid with darker hair and a different smile.

She lowered her gaze and brought the picture to her, hurt.

"You still look sick."

Gasping, Chloe twirled around, her heart racing as she gazed at the man moving in the shadows. "You scared me!"

"Didn't mean to." There was clear hesitation before he stepped out of the shadows and into the moonlight, Jason Teague pale and uncomfortable. "You look like you're going to throw up. You should probably go inside."

"I'm fine," Chloe assured him with a strained smile. "Bad thoughts really, mental torture more than anything else."

He eyed her slowly before giving a slow nod and clearing his throat. "My mother refuses to talk to me for disobeying Lex and herself."

"Your mother is a bitch," Chloe informed him. "I don't like her."

Jason chuckled darkly. "She doesn't like you much either. Says you're a bad influence on me."

"Is that so?" The blonde rolled her eyes, folding the picture and placing it in her pocket. "What else does she have to say?"

"That I should keep an eye on Faora and Davis for her and Lionel." Jason shook his head in disgust. "Faora has officially been disowned by the Circle."

"That's horrible."

"The Kents have taken her and your mother in," he informed her, hands in an old Smallville high coach letterman's pocket.

"Thank you for letting me know. I will have to go and speak to her later tonight." Chloe smiled as she eyed the jacket. "I've missed seeing your letterman jacket, believe it or not. I've also missed high school. Missed going to it. Imagine that."

He snorted. "You must really be feeling ill."

She laughed, slugging his shoulder. "Be nice, I've had a crappy day."

He nodded silently.

Chloe licked her lips. "It's weird talking to you again, I'd gotten used to not doing it."

He looked away. "Chloe, I-"

"No, I'm not being mean or telling you off or anything, I'm just saying, it's nice." She gave him a little smile. "I'm glad we can talk again and I hope we can continue talking." She cleared her throat, ducking her gaze, feeling hella self-conscious. "Just because things didn't work out with us doesn't mean that-"

"Who is that guy?" Jason interrupted. "And you're not really married to him, right?"

Chloe blinked and looked up at him, a little confused. "What?"

"The guy, Zod." Jason stepped closer. "He said you were his wife but you're seventeen. I don't care if you're legally emancipated, that can't be right."

Chloe's mouth opened and closed, the girl not having realized that Zod had declared his husbandhood in front of Jason of all people. "Well, you see… I'm not sure."

Jason frowned. "I don't understand."

"Welcome to the club." She took in a deep breath. "I mightn't exactly be married to the guy, but I'm something to him, and so far that something seems to involve him continuously risking his life for me and demanding children in return for it."

Jason promptly choked on air. "Children?"

"Before his… town… imploded, he'd accepted two children with a stated preference for three, but after the destruction of his world, I have a feeling he's going to want to have a Brady Bunch, Zod Style." She made a face at the very thought. "And I thought Rao wanted to keep me busy breeding."

"Wait, what?" Jason froze in horror. "Darkseid wants you to have his-?"

"No! Eww!" Chloe's eyes widened in horror at the very thought. "Jason, there's a lot I can't really tell you right now, but what I can say without getting into too many details is that Darkseid had a kid… wait. You know." She blinked, remembering that Davis was a Salamander, and so the Dragon was out of the mystical bag. "Zod is a Dragon, as is Darkseid, though you knew about Darkseid." She saw Jason's eyes widen as he nodded. "So you do realize that that makes me half Dragon, right?" When she saw him nod she came closer, voice lowered. "Well, let's just saw that I'm not the only half Dragon out there, there's another one that Darkseid made, okay?"

Jason cleared his throat, uneasy. "Why did Darkseid have this other half Dragon made?"

"Why do you think, Jason?" She glared at him.

"I don't know why this other half Dragon was made!" he snapped back at her. "That's why I'm asking you!"

"Okay, fine!" She glared with a blush, unable to believe she actually had to spell it out like this. "Because Zod was supposed to cross over with Darkseid when he crossed over but Zod said no, but Darkseid needed a male Dragon because Dragons are not like other creatures and will not stoop to incest." She moved closer to Jason as her voice lowered to a hiss, her face dark with mortification due to having to tell him about the two different lizards who wanted to mate with her. "Does it get any clearer than that?"

Jason gulped, a disturbed expression on his face as he licked his lips. "So this other half Dragon's sole purpose in life is to what? Breed you?"

She flinched at the 'B' word. "From what I understand, I was supposed to be married to him and Zod wasn't supposed to be involved in any way at all. It would have occurred when the both of our Dragon magics activated, but a Dragon Councilman messed with the 'sacred marriage magic' somehow and added Zod in so that there was a Meld and not a marriage," Chloe admitted. "Anyway, if 'breeding me' was this half Dragon's sole purpose in life then his life is going to have been lived in vain because he was chosen for me by that bastard Rao and I will never let him touch me. Ever." She raised her chin, defiant against Rao's wishes. "If I'm forced to have to choose a lizard, it's going to be Zod. Hands down, no contest. If it comes to that, I'll happily give Zod all those kids he wants when the time is right if it means not being anywhere near that half Dragon."

There was a flash of movement and Chloe cried out as she was pushed against the tree with Jason pinning her to it with his body.

Chloe's eyes widened as she stared up into Jason's hazel eyes. "What-?"

"Really? That's it?" He stared down at her as he pinned her hands above her head. "You're just going to limit yourself to him? Not even open yourself to any other option?"

Chloe could feel her heart racing in her chest, her chest rising and falling erratically with each breath. "Look who suddenly gives a damn."

"This isn't 'suddenly' and you know it." He glared at her.

"You're the one who backed off." She glared up into his eyes even as she felt heat of desire curling in her stomach. "You should do the same right now and back off."

He shook his head. "No. I won't make the same mistake twice."

She fought not to smile and somehow managed it, the girl keeping her glare. "Whatever, Coach." Chloe's breath then left her in a gasp as Jason leaned in, his lips finding the rapidly beating pulse in her neck as his free hand gripped at her hip. "What are you-?" A whimper escaped her lips as Chloe felt pressure build against her neck, Jason sucking on the skin, the sensation prickling and slightly painful and yet sending shocks of pleasure down her body in waves. "Are you-?" She realized what he was doing and it made her cry out in a half cry, half laugh, batting at his chest. "Jason Teague! You are not in high school!"

He pulled away long enough to claim her lips, his arms wrapping around her nearly painfully, his finger slipping underneath her shirt and brushing the tips of her scales.

The second those fingertips made contact with her scales, white hot pleasure clouded her mind, hazing all sense and reason.

The hands that had been batting at him flexed at his chest before slowly, surely, gripping at his shirt as she kissed him back fiercely, the rock on her bracelet glowing bright.

-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v -v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v -v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v -v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v -v-v-v-v-

It'd been faint at first, almost like a ticklish ripple, the rock on his bracelet glowing slightly before going dead once more. But now it was glowing brightly and the wave of pleasure had washed over him so strongly, Adam, unused to these feelings, these sorts of emotions, had been unable to do anything but collapse to his knees on the ground. He was so relieved he was in the room by himself because he couldn't explain what was happening to him, the boy panting as he stared down at himself, clenching his fists as another wave of pleasure crashed over him agonizingly, the stone on his bracelet glowing brightly.

-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v -v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v -v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v -v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v -v-v-v-v-

Oh dear gods, what in the world was happening?!

It was the bracelet, he knew it was the bracelet (thanks in part to the fact that the stone was glowing), but when Whitney had been warned that there'd be effects, he hadn't expected a boner to be one of them!

The Quarterback was relieved as hell that he was sitting behind a desk at this moment, leaning with his head against the counter as the waves of pleasure washed over him agonizingly. It was all he could do to just bite down on his bottom lip and keep from making any sound. Victor, Faye and Byron were in the room, and the first was already observant as it was, Whitney did not need him asking him what was wrong with him this time. Whatever it was, the blonde begged the gods for it to pass, and quickly, before someone noticed!

-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v -v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v -v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v -v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v -v-v-v-v-

Zod grunted as the pleasure sent chills down his spine, the Dragon leaning forwards and staring down at his tent and then to the Councilman with some awkwardness as he raised the bracelet in explanation. "I assume you have some sort of explanation for me as to why I am at full mast and ready to mate, as I do not find you attractive in the least bit."

Jor cleared his throat, far too uneasy for Zod's comfort. "As I said previously, six would have been preferable. You are feeling the effects far too quickly."

Zod licked his lips as another tremor of pleasure shook him like ghost hands touching him where he desired them the most. "What does that mean, Councilman?"

"The bracelets connect you to the wearer of the Willowbrook, it is how she feeds from your lifestream and magic." The older Dragon cleared his throat. "It is only to be expected that in certain aspects, sometimes that connection is a two-way street."

The Dragon went still, eyes shifting reptilian as the Councilman's words penetrated the haze of pleasure sweeping over him. "You mean what I'm feeling right now is what she's feeling."

-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v -v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v -v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v -v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v -v-v-v-v-

"Chloe! Where are you?" Faye could be heard yelling from somewhere. "Your phone keeps ringing. Diana and Cassie both called. They said we need to meet them at the Bleeding Caves immediately! You hearing me!?"

Chloe yanked her lips from Jason's, the blonde taking in a couple of breaths as she turned her head towards the house and yelled back. "Yes! I hear you! I'll be there in a minute!"

"Okay!" Faye could be heard slamming a window shut.

Chloe breathed in and out as she leaned hard against the tree, not exactly sure what had come over her as she stared up at Jason. "I-" And then she noticed something, the blonde's eyes widening in horror as she grabbed the hand he had pressed into the bark besides her head, staring at the familiar looking bracelet. "Why are you wearing this?"

Jason was silent for a moment before he looked her in her eyes. "Why do you think I'm wearing this?"

"No." Chloe shook her head, refusing to believe it. "No! It can't be you."

"You would have thought it'd be Lex, huh?" Jason nodded, remaining where he was, pinning her to the tree. "Or Julian. A Luthor. I still don't understand why it's me."

Chloe stared up at Jason in horror, shaking her head. "No."

"Yes." Jason nodded patiently. "I'm the half Dragon. I didn't know it either until today, when I kept seeing the Balcoin symbol in my head, followed it to the caves, followed the lit path to the new chamber and saved your Dragon from dying by taking this bracelet off of him and putting it on myself."

Chloe kept shaking her head, and yet she thought back to the Qandisa episode, how she'd wondered why the demon hadn't corrupted or taken him, and it made sense. Even if he was only half, a Dragon was higher up on the hierarchy than a demon. There was no way that she'd be able to touch him. And then there was the fact that his eyes kept changing color from hazel to green – was it his Dragon eyes trying to show up? "But I did the Show Your Alliance spell on you and you are not aligned to Darkseid!" She clung to that to help her in her denial. "You're aligned to Teague! You can't be the half Dragon."

"What are you talking about?"

"That night in the car? That spell? It was to see if you belonged to Darkseid and it said you belonged to the sun, which you said was one of the Teague's old symbols. If you were the half Dragon, your affiliation would be to Darkseid because-"

"Chloe-" He cupped her face, seeming to see that she was on the verge of a nervous breakdown. "I'm wearing the bracelet and I'm not dead. I'm the half Dragon. And I'm not working with that guy. Do that spell that you're talking about again. Do it. You'll see I'm not."

Chloe hesitated out of pure fear of what she'd see.

"Chloe," Jason breathed in and out, "do the spell."

The blonde licked her lips before nodding. "Aperio abscondita vinculum." It was only then that she remembered that her magic was worn, not an ounce of it able to spark out of her. She gulped, taking in a deep breath as she stared out at him. "I can't."

He frowned. "I see."

She felt vulnerable again, like she had the night she'd first placed that spell on him.

He seemed to see it, anger flashing over his eyes as he reached out and cupped her face, resting their foreheads together. "Stop looking at me like that. I wouldn't hurt you. You should know that by now."

She couldn't speak, the girl hating feeling this powerless, this vulnerable, this unsure.

Jason pulled away and took his hands off of her. "I would never hurt you."

Whitney had thought so too, but he hadn't even known he was under Darkseid's control.

Chloe took a step back.

Hurt flashed over Jason's face as he looked away. "Are you the only one who is able to cast that spell without the possibility of it being tampered with somehow?"

"I don't know," she admitted.

"Who would know?" he asked softly.

Her eyes widened. "The Wisdom of the Ages in the Bleeding Caves."

"Fine, then we go there and you ask them." Jason nodded, hands in his letterman's pockets once more. "You have to go there anyway, right?"

"Yeah." Chloe licked her lips nervously, considering that there was always the option of locking him up in the caves like they had Whitney if things went south. "Okay."

Jason nodded once more, gaze lowered. "Good."

The two turned and began the trek back to the house in total silence, neither daring to break the silence or look at the other.

Ohhhhh goodness gracious you sure like to draw it out!!!!

There was clear hesitation before he stepped out of the shadows and into the moonlight, Jason Teague pale and uncomfortable
At this moment I went it is Jason, ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh it's Jason. But no reveal happened so then I though maybe it isn't and BAM he is. Ohhh goodness gracious!!!!

Don't know what I love more Chloe and Jason making out or that Adam, Whitney and Zod got to feel the effects!!! LOL!!! Please tell me that Chloe finds out that the guys feel whatever she feels!!!!

I swear with every chapter I love this story more and more!!! Can't wait for more!!
21st-Oct-2013 11:59 pm (UTC)
Oh, you know it!

Chloe *will* find out that the guys feel the effects, but I'm not saying *when* exactly she finds out!!
17th-Oct-2013 05:50 am (UTC) - OMG
OMG...Yes I am so happy the half dragon is Jason....

You are an evil genius, and I can't wait for more.

P.S - I vote for Chloe having at least Jason and Zod for husbands :D Cause that would be hot!! ;D
22nd-Oct-2013 12:01 am (UTC) - Re: OMG
There were definite hints throughout earlier chapters, with his eyes changing colors and such, and I was worried people would guess it, so I'm so relieved it came as a surprise to most! (and that most are happy he's the half Dragon!)

Thanks! I do try!

I know! And their pain has only just started *innocent smile*

Yes, *evil smile* there ARE many questions!
17th-Oct-2013 05:54 am (UTC)
So it *is* Jason! I wonder why, though? Why would Lionel choose him?

And all the four main contenders for Choe's heart are now bracleted to her. I mean it's probably Jason or Zod, but Adam and Whitney both have a chance, right? Especially Adam?

22nd-Oct-2013 12:03 am (UTC)
EXACTLY. Why WOULD Lionel choose Jason? THAT is a VERY important question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All I can say is, you'll have some Chladdam scenes. I can promise you that much. ;p
17th-Oct-2013 02:31 pm (UTC)
\o/ Sexy Bond FTW!
Seriously though that was hot. Especially loved Adam and Whitney's reactions.

So Jason's the half dragon. Hmmm. I hope he's not evil. And if he isn't that Zod doesn't manage to kill him.

Harem/5some? pretty please.
22nd-Oct-2013 12:05 am (UTC)
*huge grin*
Zod will definitely need some convincing!
hahaha! We shall just have to wait and see!
17th-Oct-2013 05:03 pm (UTC)
"You still look sick."
"...he stepped out of the shadows and into the moonlight, Teague pale and uncomfortable..."

As soon as I read these lines, I knew... I just knew! Of course I stopped myself from rejoicing since one never truly knows with you but as soon as I hit this line...

"The second those fingertips made contact with her scales, white hot pleasure clouded her mind, hazing all sense and reason."

... I stopped reading and did the happy dance! It didn't last long though coz I just had to back and read the rest of the chapter. But as soon as I was done I did some more dancing. LOL!

So happy that's it's Jason! So looking forward to the "hows" and "whys" but right now I just like to bask in the happiness of knowing my man prevailed!

But this revelation had thrown me into a big conundrum as I both love Jason and Zod. Although I am super excited to read about the soon to happen confrontation and, ultimately, battle between Jason and Zod for Chloe's body... erm, I meant hand in marriage I say they both just need to learn to share. :)

Can't wait for the next installment! Btw, congratulations on 100 chapters! Here's to a hundred more! :)
22nd-Oct-2013 12:08 am (UTC)
That was definitely the fist hint that Jason was the half Dragon who'd taken the bracelet from Zod! Though, the scales part was purely instinctual on Jason's part, he had no idea about them or what would happen when he touched them ;)

Right, her, uhm, heart. I'm sure that's what you meant. lmfao.

#dieslaughing A HUNDRED MORE????????
18th-Oct-2013 11:05 pm (UTC) - Panic
Thanks for clearing up the Elders question in an earlier reply.

I'm going to try to blissfully ignore the warning to panic, because you keep on stacking the odds against Chloe et al. So, my panic would just keep on growing, and I don't have enough pillows to hug and surround me in a fort as I rock in a corner.

He...Blew...Up...A Universe.

Where can I buy body pillows in bulk?!

You're a mean, cruel, and Fantastic Storyteller. I don't know how you're going to have them survive Rao. Clearly, the snakelike things in Charles Meade, Diana's adopted dad, were the things that attacked the Dragons. What's stopping Rao from using them once his power is back to par? By par, we know his standard power level now is like kagillion (felt like using jazzy fake numbers) times infinity. Did he get all the dead dragons' power too from the Black Zero power way he killed them?

Speaking of Diana, pretty cool how you have Cassie and her making an attempt to have a relationship. I don't know if Pete will ever get accepted by his other siblings, but I guess the sisterhood is good.

I am so glad when Greg gets to be kick ass. Good on him for speaking up against the Wisdom of Ages. Still, underneath it all, he is a sweetie.

Loving the new images you've been posting. I'm hoping this newest one means we'll be seeing Claws and Scales soon.

I can't comment on the Chloe, Byron, and Faye repartee, just grinning like a fool here.

Ergh, Oliver, I usually love Oliver Queen, I like to ship Chlollie in other situations. This fic is just another way he could have turned out. And again: Ergh! I get that he hasn't seen the guys when they've been enthralled, and he has reason to be paranoid. Thus, the major panic and his shaking of Chloe. With the way he grew up with everybody in the Luthor circles backstabbing one another like it's the only way to live, it makes sense. So, I guess what I'm saying here is excellent job with being able to reasonably write an Oliver that I don't swoon over.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for all these rapid fire updates.

22nd-Oct-2013 12:12 am (UTC) - Re: Panic
You are very welcome :)

Yes. A universe. Panic.

Um. Walmart? I'm not sure. But my guess is Walmart! ;P

Cassie and Diana definitely are still on rocky ground, but they are at least *trying*, which is something. Means both are slowly healing, and that's a good thing. Pete... you're right... it might be harder for him, but he's got two siblings who accept him so far (Chloe&Byron) and in time the others might come around. Maybe.

Greg is definitely one of my favorite characters to write and it shows!!!

You're very welcome :) Have a great day/night!
